Welcome to PalmVita, a 10 acre gated residential eco community, opposite the heart of the Ballena National Park just South of Uvita on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.PalmVita is a place to enjoy all that is good about living in Costa Rica; it's great climate, fantastic flora and fauna, pristine beaches and great ocean views, surrounded by nature, and the middle of nowhere far away. Living in PalmVita
PalmVita is the rare community that combines easy (2 wheel drive) access with security (the property is only accessible through a gated, guarded private road and is backed by a 250 acre rainforest)
without compromising on views or location. PalmVita is only minutes from Uvita, the commercial hub of Costa Ballena, and the pristine beaches of Ballena National Park. Each of the properties measures at least 1 1/4 acres and comes fully titled. Building sites are in place as is water, electricity and partly paved, partly rocked access roads. Internet and phone service are offered through the 3G cell network.
Eco community
The PalmVita gated community is geared towards protecting the local environment and ideally situated for eco-minded living. Though in no way meant to be an off-the-grid community, PalmVita offers many advantages making living here very compatible with an eco-conscious lifestyle;- The terrain is shaped like a horseshoe and encompasses a valley. The constant light breeze is ideal for low energy homes designed to keep themselves cool without need for airconditioning
- PalmVita is located within walking distance to the beach, downtown Uvita, and the supermarket, so there is no need to use a car for short trips.
- Many fruit trees and food staples have been planted in the valley and along corridors to sustain part of the residents' needs, but also to attract local wildlife that lives in the jungle directly adjacent to PalmVita..
- Care has been taken to minimize damage to the environment when roads and infrastructure were built.
